The Prime Minister, the Hon Kevin Rudd MP, recently announced the release of the Reports on the Current State of Chinese, Indonesian, Japanese and Korean Language Education in Australian Schools. An overarching report and summary are available.
 
The Indonesian, Japanese and Korean language reports complement Dr Jane Orton’s earlier work on Chinese language education and complete coverage of the suite of four languages which are the focus of NALSSP. Dr Orton's report is available on the Asia Education Foundation website, http://www.asiaeducation.edu.au.
